Wumi is an African Legal Feminist with degrees spanning law (LL.B- Lagos State University), human rights (LLM – University of Pretoria), criminology and sociolegal (Ph.D – University of Toronto). Her academic research lies at the intersection of gender, conflict, law (domestic and international), and justice, with an emphasis on African feminist and decolonial approaches to justice and inclusion. Beyond academia, Wumi’s professional background is in public policy and social justice, law reform, women’s political participation, and gender-based violence. She is deeply committed to equity and decoloniality and brings her scholarly and practitioner expertise to the Department of Political Science.
